This Amount of Resistance Training Per Week can Improve Your Brain

Inside This Brief Trailer You Will Learn:

Science has never been more clear - if you want to have a healthy brain long term, you must do strength training.

The early you start the better. But it doesn’t have to be a lot, either! You don’t need to be a professional athlete to receive these benefits.

According to researchers from Georgia Tech, strength training for as little as 20 minutes per week was enough to improve long-term memory (1).

If that is not enough, a randomized controlled trial published in the Annals of Internal Medicine found that strength training promotes cognitive and neuroplasticity (2).

The researchers concluded their study by saying, “Twelve months of once-weekly or twice-weekly resistance training benefited the executive cognitive function of selective attention and conflict resolution among senior women”.

All you need to do is 1-2x per week of a nice resistance training session to receive these benefits.

This can be simply body weight movements, band work, or you can throw around some heavy weights.
